Everyday Mindfulness
Short moments, a few minutes each. Each one is a small skill for something you already do in your day.
All six moments are ready. Take them in order, or start anywhere.

Hi. This is Matthew Grunewald, a mindfulness teacher, and I'm happy to have you join.
Here, we'll look into ways to apply mindfulness throughout the day.
From simple scenarios, such as washing the dishes… to more challenging ones, like driving in a traffic jam.
Each lesson is a short practice, and you can take them in any order.
Okay. Let's begin.
The moments
Suggested order. New? Start with 1.
- 1Coming backMinds wander. Noticing that, and coming back, is the practice.
- 2The room around youWhen a moment is too much: eyes open, three things you can see, your feet, one sound.
- 3One breath outA pause before the next thing: one breath out, feet, eyes open, then go.
- 4Name it, let it beWhen a feeling rises: name it in one word, let it be there for a breath, then choose.
- 5The kind voiceAfter a mistake: one kind, or fair, sentence to yourself, then one next step.
- 6One ordinary thingOne thing you already do every day, done once with attention.
